Axis Studios has an exciting opportunity for a Talent Supervisor to join the team!
This is a Full Time, Permanent role and can be fully remote or based in our Glasgow studio.
Reporting to the Head of People, the Talent Supervisor is responsible for supervising the talent team day to day to ensure the team attract the best possible talent to the studio.
In close partnership with the Crew Supervisor and Head of CG, the Talent Supervisor will assess project schedules and associated talent requirements to determine viability.
Together with the team, the Talent Supervisor will find innovative, sustainable talent solutions that deliver quality hires and sustainable talent pipelines.
Building strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the business, utilising external industry networks and connections, the Talent Supervisor will implement and drive through improvements to approach, policy and department best practice, overall supporting the department to achieve studio objectives.
Supervision of the talent team day to day and supporting with workload prioritisation and any challenges.
Communicating scheduling/project/resourcing updates to the team and the Senior Leadership Team via attendance at key meetings
Approval point for new hire visas which meet guidelines and escalation point for new hire visas outside guidelines which require EMT approval. Retain general oversight of all new hire visas.
Defining, refining and implementing key hire strategies to compliment the studios ambitions.
Evolving existing or implementing new general hiring approaches based around project and department requirements
Drawing insights from recruitment data to identify areas of process improvement and actionable solutions.
Identifying and implementing events strategies.
Collaborating with marketing to define recruitment marketing strategy and priorities to support day to day recruitment efforts.
Hands on 360 recruitment of SLT/EMT level key hires.
Administration and process ownership of recruitment ATS and associated systems.
Implementing and managing the mentoring programme.
Ownership over internal referral programmes and GDPR.
Administration contact for industry bodies and agencies.
Key member of internal Diversity, Equality and Inclusion focus group, driving forward talent acquisition related objectives.
Previous experience as a Talent Manager or similar HR role
In-depth knowledge of full-cycle recruiting and employer brand techniques
Familiarity with a variety of different selection methods (interviews, assignments, psychometric testing)
Hands on experience with posting jobs on social media and job boards
Experience with ATS, Sourcing and Recruitment Marketing tools
Ability to lead and motivate others
Critical thinker and excellent problem solving skills
Good time management skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Experience within the animation industry would be advantageous but not essential
