VFX and Compositing Supervisor
VFX and Compositing Supervisor, Ben Hicks joined Axis’ VFX studio with over 20 years of experience in the VFX industry. He brings with him his strong creative ability, attention to detail and excellent technical understanding and knowledge.
Ben’s recent credits include look development work on ‘Spider-Man:Far From Home’, the role of 2D Supervisor on ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, and most recently leading the compositing team on David Fincher’s Oscar-nominated and VFX award-winning production, ‘Mank’.
In his role as VFX Supervisor, Ben is responsible for collaborating with his team, and across departments to ensure the vision and creative goal for each project is met to the highest standard achievable. He is a vital part of each step in the process of a project, and brings his enriched skillset into making sure each final delivery reflects Axis’ quality standards.
As Compositing Supervisor, Ben manages the various elements of the VFX shots, by working alongside compositors and ensuring creative vision is always met, as well as assuming the creative role on occasion. His talent has aided in Axis projects such as the ‘The Rig’, as VFX Supervisor and ‘A Man Called Otto’, in a compositing role.
